Hola Methodology

Natural Language Learning, the core of Hola methodology to learn Spanish, was developed by Dr. Stephen Krashen from University of Southern California and Dr. Tracy Terrell from University of California to facilitate Spanish learning for non-Spanish-speaking adults.

The natural approach follows to some degree the natural sequence of language acquisition:

  1. Initial acquisition of vocabulary through relationships between images and expressions. You will not need to translate.
  2. Development of common speech through the use of simple word combinations or phrases.
  3. Acquisition of additional vocabulary through listening and speaking practice.
  4. Development of natural speech using proper sentences through listening and speaking practice.
